The Project Officer is primarily responsible for facilitating; overseeing; and monitoring all tasks and deliverables pertaining to the assigned technology-based project in accordance to the prescribed Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standard and liaising between Information System Group (ISG) and the Business group/s to ensure goals and strategies are clearly defined; communicated and implemented.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates and monitor key project scope, tasks, documentation, timeline and issues in coordination with the Enterprise Project Manager (EPM), IT Project Manager and the entire project team, to ensure its completion and/or resolution conforming to all established policies, standards and procedures required
- Assist the EPM in preparing the project closure and Project Value Realization Report (PVRR) to assess results vs declared project benefits
- Recommends changes in policies, procedures and/or organization in relation to the new initiative to initiate process improvements through automation, risk mitigation, and compliance to standards
- Supervises Project Support Staff in handling projects assigned to them to ensure timeliness of completion of assigned tasks
- Provides personnel planning by establishing evaluation criteria, training, and career path
- Acts as primary liaison for all technology-related requests and plans of the division he/she is assigned to
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information and Communication Technology, Management, Engineering, or Computer Science
- At least 2 years of experience in handling technology-based projects and well
- Skills: Project management, system analysis, business analysis and supervisory skills. Proficiency in written and oral communication skills. Computer literate
