Full-Time Project Manager

Remote | Full-Time | $9,600 to $15,600 per year

WeAssist is hiring a Full-Time Project Manager for a growing residential construction company that specializes in custom home building, renovations, remodeling, and general contracting.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple projects independently. You will take ownership of residential construction and renovation projects from start to finish while keeping timelines, documentation, communication, and financial details accurate and organized.

If you enjoy structure, problem-solving, and managing moving pieces in a fast-paced environment, this role could be a strong fit for you.

About the Client

Our client is a residential construction company founded last year and led by co-owners with more than 25 years of combined experience in residential construction and the single-family rental industry.

The company provides full-service construction solutions, including custom home building, renovations, remodeling, and general contracting. While the business is still young, it is built on deep industry expertise, strong operational standards, and a commitment to trust, transparency, and reliability.

As the company continues expanding into new markets, they are looking for dependable professionals who can bring structure, accuracy, and ownership to a growing project pipeline.

The team is small, close-knit, and family-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a fun, collaborative culture.

Why This Role Is Open

The client is hiring a Project Manager to take full ownership of assigned residential construction and renovation projects.

As the company expands into a new market and project volume increases, they need someone who can independently manage 30 to 50 active projects, keep the backend organized, catch financial discrepancies before they become costly mistakes, and ensure contractors, field managers, and customers stay aligned.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing details, building structure, and taking ownership without needing to be micromanaged.

What You'll Do:

End-to-End Project Lifecycle Management

You will manage a large volume of residential construction and renovation projects from start to finish.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing 30 to 50 simultaneous projects independently
  • Handling a variety of project sizes, from quick 2-day jobs to longer 50-day builds
  • Receiving scopes of work from customers, usually in PDF or Word format
  • Converting incoming scopes of work into the company's Excel scope-of-work format
  • Entering new jobs into BuilderTrend
  • Uploading finalized scopes of work into the system
  • Tracking project statuses, updates, and change orders
  • Ensuring no project details get missed or delayed

Financial and Administrative Operations

You will help ensure financial information is accurate before purchase orders, bids, or invoices are sent out.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inputting data into Excel templates
  • Using formulas to calculate percentages and profit margins
  • Cross-referencing data fields, such as matching PO totals to project cost limits
  • Reviewing financial details before purchase orders are issued
  • Catching discrepancies before they become costly or difficult to correct
  • Generating and issuing purchase orders to contractors through BuilderTrend
  • Preparing and submitting daily bids using information from field managers
  • Supporting management with data entry tasks during slower periods

Inbox and Communication Management

You will help keep communication organized across multiple inboxes, systems, and team members.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring 10 to 15 shared customer email inboxes for new job assignments and updates
  • Managing a personal inbox used for BuilderTrend project notifications
  • Communicating with field construction managers throughout the day through Microsoft Teams
  • Acknowledging and acting on daily BuilderTrend notifications, including bid requests
  • Generating and submitting invoices to customers by email or through their platform
  • Keeping contractors, field managers, customers, and internal team members aligned

Proactive Follow-Ups and Documentation

You will be responsible for tracking open items and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Independently tracking floating or unapproved items, such as pending bids
  • Following up on unresolved items after 48 to 72 hours
  • Documenting every action, note, update, and communication in BuilderTrend
  • Maintaining accurate records so the team always has visibility into project status
  • Adapting to high-volume workloads during the busy summer construction season
  • Staying organized even when priorities shift quickly
