Project Manager (Junior/Senior)

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed scope and quality standards.
• Develop and manage project plans, including project scope, requirements, work breakdown structures, schedules, resources, budgets, deliverables, and key milestones.
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, proactively identifying potential challenges and implementing appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, ensuring effective resource allocation, clear responsibilities, timely delivery, and strong team collaboration.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and communications across business and technology teams, including senior stakeholders and geographically diverse teams, ensuring expectations, decisions, and project progress are clearly communicated.
• Monitor and control project performance, tracking scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, issues, and deliverables, and taking corrective action where required.
• Ensure project governance and quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle, including compliance with established processes, standards, and business requirements.
• Manage project closure, ensuring completion of deliverables, documentation, lessons learned, handover, and closure of outstanding activities and procurements.

Desired Skills

• Background experience in one or more of the following areas: Capital Markets, Retail/Commercial Banking, eBanking/Electronic Payments, Risk, Compliance, or Life Insurance.
• Fluent in English, with Mandarin or Cantonese speaking capability mandatory.

Experience

• Solid end-to-end Project Management experience within a banking or financial institution environment.
• Experience managing projects using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to review project deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards with minimal guidance.
• Good working knowledge of Business Transformation frameworks, project governance, and best-practice techniques.
• Strong project planning, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex and often challenging environment.
• Proven ability to work with and influence diverse stakeholders across business and technology functions.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, including the ability to lead geographically dispersed and culturally diverse teams.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Highly results-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with peers, business stakeholders, and technology teams.
• PMP certification is an added advantage.
