Job Purpose
The Project Management Superintendent leads the end-to-end management of New Product Development (NPD), innovation, optimization, and product change projects from feasibility assessment through commercialization and launch. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within quality and regulatory requirements, and aligned with business, operational, and market objectives. This position serves as the key coordinator among cross-functional teams, driving project execution, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives to support successful product launches and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Project Assessment, Planning and Execution.
- Evaluates the Project and its End-to-End requirements by defining the scope and has a full understanding of all the requirements for project team to deliver from initiation, feasibility, development and commercial launch.
- The Team in DFL includes: PDIC, QA, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain Planners and Physical Logisitics/Warehouse. Project lead creates the project management timelines aligned to standard lead times, monitors / tracks the progress and ensures key milestones are met.
- Demonstrates resilience / flexibility to adapt to changes and new requirements of projects; Defines the risks ahead and leads conflict resolution and or be able to come up with mitigation plan to meet launch timelines.
- Lay-out or prepares master data information for SAP Set-up; and validates if all information in SAP is accurately updated. Manages all transition projects and closes write-offs at the lowest amount with Market and DFL.
- Maintains project documents for traceability. Reviews and approves all components artworks specifications, master data set-up and AMS. Initiates / routes DRF and CMP deemed necessary.
Monitoring and Control.
- Project Management Lead provides regular updates on progress and risks across the project teams on weekly basis, Leadership Teams periodically and ensures transparency with Project Owners and Markets/customer.
- Project lead also ensures that the write-offs or excess inventory due to transition is being reviewed and charged accordingly to the market and or DFL. She/He will be responsible for MEMO to file, or routing and approval from market to DFL E2E SC Director, STM and Finance.
- Communicates to Whse as soon as write -off is approved for proper disposal and updating in the system.
Cross-functional Coordinationand Collaboration.
- The project lead function is to effectively and harmoniously lead the time in ensuring that the project is clearly understood, tasks and timelines are done on timely manner, and issues and concerns are raised earlier and the team is motivated to resolve issues/ mitigate issues either from Quality, Cost and Service reference.
- This requires a regular cross functional collaboration with the different team members and stake holders: Market, PDIC, QA, Manufacturing Operations, Physical Logistics, Procurement, Finance and project owners. He/She has the influence to build strong working relationships and promote knowledge transfer/sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical / Functional Skills: Project Management, ERP / PLM systems, Artwork Management System, Quality Management Standards, Regulatory standards.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Requires strong conceptual and analytical thinking to apply structured project management methodologies in managing uncertainty. Anticipates risks early and develops effective mitigation plans, analyzes potential impacts on timelines, and provides sound operational decisions to ensure project success.
- Leadership & People Skills: Builds a collaborative team environment, demonstrates the ability to influence stakeholders, and provides clear, accurate instructions to ensure fulfillment of project requirements.
