Job Description

Bureau Veritas Philippines is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Management Officer to support the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of renewable energy projects. The PMO will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements and company standards.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting Solar PV, Wind Energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Power, and Technical Advisory Projects, with strong skills in project coordination, scheduling, reporting, document control, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Coordination

  • Support Project Managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of renewable energy projects.
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, timelines, and deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, action trackers, and milestone reports.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule or resource conflicts.

Project Controls & Reporting

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc project status reports.
  • Track project KPIs, milestones, budgets, and resource utilization.
  • Monitor project performance against approved plans and schedules.
  • Provide management with timely updates on project progress, risks, and issues.

Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with project teams, clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal departments.
  • Facilitate project meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes.
  • Ensure action items and project deliverables are properly monitored and closed out.
  • Support communication between project stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely decision-making.

Risk & Quality Management

  • Maintain project risk registers and monitor mitigation actions.
  • Support quality assurance processes and project compliance activities.
  • Assist in identifying project challenges and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain project documentation, records, contracts, correspondence, and project files.
  • Ensure proper document control and version management.
  • Support project audits and compliance reviews.
  • Develop and maintain project management templates, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Resource & Financial Monitoring

  • Assist in monitoring project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts.
  • Track manpower allocation and resource utilization across projects.
  • Support cost control initiatives and project performance reviews.
  • Assist Project Managers in preparing project forecasts and management reports.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Project Management certifications (PMP, CAPM, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Project Management Office (PMO), project coordination, project controls, or project administration.
  • Experience supporting renewable energy, power, engineering consultancy, or technical services projects.
  • Exposure to:
    • Solar PV Projects
    • Wind Energy Projects
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    • Power Generation and Transmission Projects
    • Owner's Engineering and Technical Advisory Services
Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in project scheduling and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of project management software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
  • Experience with project dashboards and performance reporting.

  • Familiarity with project governance frameworks and PMO best practices.
  • Experience supporting large-scale solar, wind, or energy transition projects.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, or project reporting tools are highly desirable.
