Job Description

About the Company

Axelum Resources Corp. is undertaking a company-wide ERP implementation, with the Finance module as the primary driver of scope and design decisions.

About the Role

This role requires a 50/50 work arrangement between our Head Office (Makati) and Plant (Misamis Oriental).

The Overall Project Lead will own end-to-end delivery — schedule, budget, scope, risk, and change management — while ensuring the finance module (chart of accounts, costing, multi-currency export accounting, inventory valuation, and consolidation) is designed to support Axelum's coconut processing and export operations accurately from day one. We are looking for the rare combination of a qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) who has also personally led an ERP implementation from design through go-live and stabilization. If you have delivered full-cycle ERP rollouts in a manufacturing or agri-processing environment, this role was built with that background in mind.

Responsibilities

  • Program Governance & Delivery Management
  • Own the overall ERP implementation plan — timeline, budget, resourcing, and milestone tracking — and report progress to the Steering Committee.
  • Act as the primary point of accountability for scope decisions, change requests, and cost/schedule/functionality trade-offs.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating to the Executive Sponsor(s) when scope, budget, or timeline are materially at risk.

  • Finance Module Design & Costing
  • Partner with the Finance Functional Lead so the finance module design supports standard/actual costing and by-product allocation for coconut conversion, multi-currency processing and FX gain/loss treatment for export sales; inventory valuation from raw material through WIP to finished goods; PEZA/BOI incentive tracking; and multi-entity/multi-book consolidation.

  • Cross-Functional Data & Migration Governance
  • Coordinate manufacturing, procurement, export/logistics, HR/payroll, and sales workstreams so upstream data feeding finance is complete, accurate, and captured at the right level of detail.
  • Lead data migration governance — cleansing, validation rules, and sign-off before cutover — especially for the chart of accounts and vendor/customer/inventory masters.

  • Vendor & Implementation Partner Management
  • Manage the ERP vendor/implementation partner relationship, including contract deliverables, change orders, and issue escalation.

  • Testing & Change Management
  • Oversee UAT planning and execution, ensuring finance super users validate costing, AR/AP, treasury, and reporting scenarios before go-live.
  • Drive change management — training, communication, and stakeholder buy-in — so finance, plant, and export teams are ready for go-live.

  • Cutover, Hypercare & Reporting Readiness
  • Plan and manage cutover and hyper care, including a parallel-run/reconciliation strategy against the legacy system for at least one full close cycle.
  • Ensure the finished system supports timely month-end/year-end close, statutory and management reporting, and audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • CPA (or equivalent professional accounting qualification) — required. Must be able to engage the Finance Functional Lead and external auditors as a peer, not through a translator.
  • 7+ years spanning both accounting/finance and ERP project delivery, including one full-cycle implementation (design → configuration → UAT → change management → go-live → stabilization) on InforLN, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar.
  • Direct ERP delivery experience in manufacturing or agri-processing — procurement-to-pay, order-to-cash, and inventory/WIP costing workflows map directly to this role.
  • Solid grasp of manufacturing costing (standard costing, variance analysis, joint-cost/by-product allocation) and export finance (multi-currency, trade finance instruments, letters of credit).
  • Familiarity with Philippine statutory/tax requirements (BIR, PEZA/BOI, BSP FX regulations) desirable.
  • Agile/hybrid project certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Hybrid Project Pro) a plus.
  • Data-analytics literacy (SQL, process mining, advanced Excel) a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management — equally credible with the CFO/CEO and plant-floor or warehouse staff. Direct and upfront about what they know deeply versus what they'll build on the job.

Required Skills

  • Decisive under ambiguity — makes trade-off calls and holds the line once decisions are made.
  • Cross-functional influence — aligns departments that don't report to this role.
  • Financial fluency — reasons about costing, inventory valuation, and consolidation without translation.
  • Structured execution — runs a formal project methodology (risk logs, steering reporting, change control).
  • Calm under pressure — sets the tone for the team through high-stress go-live periods.

What Success Looks Like - First Year

  • Go-live delivered within agreed scope, budget, and timeline.
  • On-time month-end close within two cycles of go-live, with no unresolved reconciliation gaps.
  • Costing and inventory valuation outputs validated as accurate by the Finance Functional Lead, auditors.
  • Successful UAT sign-off from all functional super users prior to cutover, and a documented, sustainable support model in place at the end of hyper care.
