Project Lead Engineer

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions Division of ABB and will be responsible for the following:

• Working with the customer to shape and deliver solutions while seeking customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.

• Creating work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects and ensuring quality, timely implementation within the targeted cost.

• Coordinating with relevant functions to ensure the designs are appropriately manufactured / staged, tested, installed, and commissioned.

• Coaching engineering colleagues on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, best practices, and lessons learned from past projects.

• Managing projects end-to-end in an efficient manner, including hands on project design, implementation and execution works.

Qualifications for the role

• You have preferably more than 5 years of experience in electrical systems engineering discipline.

• Demonstrated strong project management skills and experience, PM Certification is an advantage.

• Passionate about achieving business results and customer satisfaction.

• Bachelor's qualifications in Engineering (preferably licensed electrical engineer) with commercial qualification or recognized equivalent.

• Excellent interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills.

• Able to collaborate within the broader business at all levels.

• You are at ease communicating in English.

• Works rights in the Philippines.
