- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.
- Preferably licensed engineer or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in tunnel construction, underground works, dams, hydroelectric, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in drill and blast and/or TBM tunnel construction is an advantage.
- Familiarity with tunnel support systems, shotcrete application, rock stabilization, and underground safety practices.
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC inspection procedures and HSE requirements.
- Proficient in report preparation and construction documentation.
- Inspect tunnel excavation, support installation, lining, grouting, and related underground works.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with approved construction methodologies and specifications.
- Verify dimensions, alignment, levels, and workmanship of tunnel construction activities.
- Witness field testing, material inspections, and quality control activities.
- Identify and report non-conformance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures, inspection test plans (ITPs), and project standards.
- Review contractor inspection requests and verify completed works before approval.
- Coordinate with laboratory and QA/QC teams regarding material testing results.
- Monitor installation of tunnel support systems including rock bolts, shotcrete, steel ribs, and concrete lining.
- Assist in reviewing technical issues encountered during tunnel construction
- Monitor contractor compliance with occupational health and safety procedures in underground works.
- Conduct regular inspections of tunnel access, ventilation, lighting, and emergency safety systems.
- Report unsafe conditions, hazardous practices, and environmental concerns.
- Coordinate with HSE personnel regarding corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure implementation of environmental mitigation measures during tunneling activities.
- Monitor daily progress of tunnel excavation and support installation activities.
- Maintain daily inspection logs, site records, and photographic documentation.
- Prepare inspection reports and submit findings to senior engineers and OE management.
- Coordinate with planning and construction teams regarding site progress and issues.
- Assist in verifying completed quantities for progress evaluation.
- Coordinate daily with contractors, tunnel engineers, geologists, surveyors, and safety teams.
- Participate in toolbox meetings, coordination meetings, and technical discussions.
- Assist in resolving site construction and interface issues.
- Support implementation of project procedures and engineering instructions.
- Maintain professional communication with all project stakeholders.
