Job Description

A leading renewable energy company in the Philippines is currently seeking a Project Engineer to strengthen their team in Makati City!

Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise throughout the lifecycle of wind energy projects, from opportunity screening and wind resource assessment through engineering development, permitting support, construction, and commissioning. He will also ensure projects are technically viable, compliant with regulatory and grid requirements, and implemented according to industry standards and company guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conducts preliminary technical assessments of wind energy opportunities

• Evaluates site conditions including wind resource potential, terrain, land suitability, grid proximity, and access constraints

• Supports identification of optimal project configurations including turbine selection and preliminary capacity sizing

• Supports wind resource measurement campaigns including met mast or LiDAR planning and data analysis

• Conducts energy yield assessments and wind farm layout optimization to improve energy production

• Assists in technical studies such as wake modeling, energy production analysis, and system sizing

• Assists in preparation of technical proposals, presentations, and bid documentation

Required Qualification / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

• With 3 – 5 years of experience in wind project development

• Strong analytical skills for feasibility assessment and technical evaluation

• Familiar with modeling tools and performance estimation methods

• Experienced in reviewing technical documents and supporting proposals or studies
