Project Engineer - Underground

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer for underground works to support complex tunnelling and hydropower related construction works. This role is fully site-based and will work closely with the underground Project Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of underground activities during the construction phase of a large hydropower project.

Key Requirements:

Candidates must have hands‑on experience in:

• D&B tunnel excavation
• Shotcrete, rock bolts, and wire mesh support
• Hydraulic waterway and penstock construction
• Shaft excavation and concrete lining
• Raise bore works
• Steel lining installation and welding
• Grouting of steel lining
• Experience working in Southeast Asia ideally
• Experience in hydropower construction projects is essential

Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Strong background in underground or tunnelling projects
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, site-based environment
• Strong safety and quality mindset
• Highly professional temp

Salary and package:

An employee contract which will include accommodation, travel allowance, medical insurance. The salary will vary depending on years experience and can be paid in USD as a NET amount, it can be negotiated. You will need to commit to around 4 years.
