Project Engineer

About the Opportunity

Our client, a reputable engineering and construction company, is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing site engineering activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all on-site technical and engineering matters throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress and ensure works are carried out according to project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders on project-related matters.
• Provide timely technical solutions and ensure proper documentation of project activities and resolutions.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing monthly progress reports, project claims, and project documentation.
• Supervise site operations and ensure site personnel comply with client requirements and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), environmental regulations, and company safety policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, optimise costs, and implement innovative engineering solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure work is executed according to approved plans and specifications.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB) Singapore will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects, preferably involving LTA infrastructure projects such as earthworks, roadworks, and drainage works.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modelling) and VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) will be advantageous.
• Strong planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Candidates who are available immediately or on short notice will have an advantage.
