Responsible for the installation of elevator and escalator units or the execution of elevator/ escalator modernization plans, on time and within the budget. Its performance standard includes customer and zero deficiency
Interpret installation plans and drawings. Checks layout drawings and actual dimensions of elevator and escalator shafts and ensures they are aligned.
Plan for the manpower and material requirements for the installation of new units or the modernization of existing units.
Coordinate with the site, the schedule of delivery of equipment and the availability of storage area.
Prepare tools/ materials needed in installation and make sure that these arrive just in time for its use.
Staff the project either through direct employees or project employees or coordinates with appointed subcontractors; project lead.
Coordinate with general contractor regarding preparatory works related to construction.
Monitor the installation of elevator/escalator components and the procedures and work output compliance to standards.
Monitor project accomplishment, ensure that installation schedule is followed, and submit weekly status reports of assigned projects.
Coordinates with the main contractor, project manager or owner representative with regards to work done by others, which are affecting the company's installation quality and schedule.
Prepares the documents required in securing the mechanical and permit to operate.
Attend meetings with general contractors and building administrators.
Complete punch lists related to mechanical works, complying with Otis standards, and to the satisfaction of the Field Engineer, the Service Supervisor and Safety Manager
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years experience in project management in the construction or building solutions industry.
Engineering graduates (preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) are highly preferred.
Preferably Licensed Engineer
Background in elevator systems is a strong advantage.
Strong communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.
Willing to travel and handle fieldwork; residency near assigned area of coverage is preferred.
