Job Description

What will YOU do
1. Assurance Procedure Related Functions
a. Assists the Technical Manager in dealing with non conformities covering vessel and shore based technical and engineering operations.
b. Participates and assists the Technical Manager in the preparation, review and maintenance of vessel/shore contingency plans covering technical or engineering emergency situations.
c. Ensures that statutory and classification surveys for all plant and equipment on fleet vessels are carried out
d. Ensures compliance of relevant Rules, Regulations, codes and guidelines relating to technical and maintenance

2. Support Procedure Related Functions
a. Monitors the scheduled maintenance of vessels and equipment to mandatory regulations and Company procedures
b. Monitors and makes progress reports and presentation of all major projects.
c. Ensures that vessels are supported to maintain equipment critical to the SEMS and if required, calibrated correctly
d. Provides all necessary support to the Technical Superintendent, Technical Manager, and DPA to carry out their set functions
e. Generates job orders for deck and engine departments to ensure no breakdowns will occur in voyages
f. Verifies the quality of contractor's work as well as the correctness of billing (immediately before launching)
g. Arranges the supply of necessary stores, spares and lubricating oil in collaboration with the Operations Manager.

3. Contingency Procedure Related Functions
a. Provides assistance to Technical Manager in investigating major machinery failures and any resulting insurance claims.

4. Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

What will YOU need

    • Licensed Engineer - Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil
    • At least 6 months of experience is an advantage, but not required
    • Background in petroleum industry and diverse machineries is an advantage
