Purpose of Role:
The Project Director (PD) is the single point of accountability for end-to-end delivery of the Project on behalf of Ming Yang (MY). The PD leads an integrated, multi-disciplinary organisation — spanning engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, offshore installation, commissioning, and handover — and is the primary executive interface with the Customer, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the agreed technical specifications.
Job Responsibilities:
Governance & Delivery
Own the integrated PEP, baseline schedule, risk register and budget. Drive on-time, on-budget delivery of all milestones from award to FAC. Manage change control, variations, claims and delay notifications.
Customer Relations
Primary executive interface with Customer. Lead milestone reviews, governance sessions, and deliverable sign-offs. Proactive communication of status, risks, and mitigations.
Commercial & Contract
Full P&L ownership; monitor CPI, SPI and margin. Manage subcontract framework, EoT/LD negotiations, and lender/insurance compliance.
Engineering & Technical
Executive oversight from design freeze to type approval and commissioning. Ensure IEC 61400/DNV compliance. Approve key technical submittals; manage NCRs and concessions.
HSEQ
Champion zero-harm culture. Approve HSE Plan, ERP, and offshore risk assessments. Embed quality management: ITPs, hold-points, audits.
Supply Chain
Oversee strategic procurement, long-lead items, supplier performance, and marine/logistics coordination for port operations and vessel scheduling.
Team & Stakeholders
Build and lead the integrated OEM project team; define RACI. Engage regulators, grid operators, LTAs and industry forums. Conduct appraisals and maintain succession plans.
