About the Role
SN Aboitiz Power Group is hiring a Project Development Manager to lead renewable energy and energy storage projects from initial screening through the feasibility and pre-construction phases. Reporting to the AVP & Head of Project Development, you will manage business case development, align cross-functional teams, and balance project constraints to execute SNAP's strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Development Management: Guide greenfield renewable energy and energy storage projects through screening, feasibility studies, and pre-construction stages.
- Project Controls & Governance: Manage budgets, schedules, milestones, risk management frameworks, and deliverables using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Alignment: Work across internal business functions (Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Supply Chain) and interface with shareholders, EPC contractors, consultants, and public sector agencies.
- Contract & Partner Management: Oversee technical advisors, Owner's engineers, specialist contractors, and EPC contractors while negotiating key agreements.
- Reporting & Progress Tracking: Deliver progress updates, budget evaluations, and risk appraisal reports to the Project Steering Committee, Management Committee, and shareholders.
Role Qualifications
Experience & Background:
- At least 5 years of related experience in project development for renewable energy and energy storage (preferably power plants, transmission lines, and substations).
- Demonstrated experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, regulatory bodies, LGUs, local communities, and senior executives.
- Expertise in project controls, risk management, contract negotiation, and construction management.
- Willingness to undertake long-distance travel for site management and stakeholder engagement.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
- Preferred: Master's Degree in Project Management.
- Preferred: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
