Job Summary: The candidate is responsible for creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings and plans using AutoCAD software, electrical & BIM REVIT, and initial cost estimates. He or she collaborates with engineers, supervisors or managers to develop accurate technical drawings and blueprints for construction, manufacturing, or architectural projects. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail for the cost estimates, and the ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings to support project development and execution.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform job functions consistent to the corporate vision, mission statements and core values of the company and ensure that subordinate performs their respective functions in like manner.
- Perform safety related functions such as use of PPEs, safety equipment. Maintain a safe environment and other procedures eliminating personal injury, equipment/component, damage, and environmental impact.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including schematics, floor plans, sections, elevations, and other design drawings.
- Ensure all drawings comply with relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Responsible for the BOM/BOQ/Cost estimates
Education & Experience
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent Trade Draftsmen from a Reputable TRADE SCHOOL of ARTS or relevant work experience in Technical Drafting/AutoCAD
- Trade Draftsman for 5 years.
- Previous experience in cost estimating for construction or manufacturing projects.
- Experience on AutoCAD electrical and BIM REVIT.
- International Qualification from Autodesk Certified Professional in Design for Manufacturing is a plus.
- Certified Cost Estimator/ Analyst (CCEA) or similar.
- With Certification in AutoCAD and Three- Dimensional (3D).
Skills
- At least four (4) to five (5) years of wok related experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing set-up and have working knowledge on the following:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics.
- Ability to prepare professional-quality plans/drawings that are consistently based on established codes/standards.
- Interpret service and operating manuals, specifications, and technical bulletins.
- Ability to select measuring tools required for tasks to perform.
- Vernier and dial
- Digital calipers for reading measurements, as well as outside, inside, odd leg, and spring joint calipers for specific measurement tasks.
- Laser level 360 self-leveling
- Laser measuring
- Advanced proficiency in estimating software such as CostX, PlanSwift (takeoff software for construction estimating), or similar.
- Experience on technical illustrations that detail the engineering and manufacturing specifics.
- Know how to prepare detailed technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software based on required specifications by engineers/designers.
- Modify and update existing drawings as required.
- Proficient in computer software, particularly estimating programs and Excel.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficient in working with the following:
- BIM REVIT
- Architectural design and visualization
- Structural engineering modeling
- MEP (Mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems coordination
- Maintenance data integration
- AutoCAD Electrical such as (Electrical Symbol Libraries, Automated Drawing Generation, Electrical Design Tools):
- Create detailed schematic and wiring diagrams
- Design control panel layouts
- Develop electrical schematics for machinery, office building and industrial.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, electronics, etc).
Working Conditions
- This role is 100% onsite and will work from Monday to Saturday (0800 - 1700) hr.
