Job Description

The position holder is responsible for facilitating the execution of contract management of San Marcelino project under the construction execution stage until the issuance of Employer's take-over of the plant facility to the EPC Contractor. The role directly supports the Contracts Compliance Manager in the implementation of standard commercial risk/issue resolutions, monitoring and facilitating of contract requirements and close-outs, and implementing established commercial/contractual systems for the project.

Outcomes Expected and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the contractual interests protection of the project while maintaining a sustainable commercial relationship with the EPC Contractor.
  • Supports to ensure the cascaded commercial agreements are aligned and achieved by the project through implementation of Project Management Standards.
  • Coordinates with the Project Manager, Cost Engineer and Contracts Compliance Engineer/ Contracts Compliance Engineer/ Contracts Compliance Manager in preparing Contractual Letters, coordinating with PPCM, SCM and AP Legal Team, processing change order and claims approvals, endorsement of project site procurements, and securing FINLOA approval for authorized approvers.
  • Coordinates with other PDE cross-functional teams and other relevant stakeholders in relation to Commercial/Contractual risk & issue. .
  • Implements established commercial structure of projects by supporting the Project Procurement Standard covering the construction stage which includes guiding the Project Management Team in the execution of contract provisions, escalating critical contractual risks/issues to Project Support Teams, recommending update improvements of provisions, and closing of the contract.
  • Works with the Project Management Team to generate project-specific mitigation plans.
  • Implement proper commercial documentation ensuring it is intact and organized to protect contract objectives.
  • Integrates the Lessons Learned for Contract Improvement opportunities. To be endorsed to PCG and PPCM team.
  • Monitors the project's compliance to the permitting provisions and regulatory requirements preventing potential suspension of works or delays due to non-conformance.
  • Responsible for facilitating risk management, issue management, and lessons learned of the project and ensuring periodic review as stated in the Project Charter and Project Management Plan.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in (Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, Law)
  • With knowledge and application of Contracts Management on Complex Projects application or Utility Scale Generation Plant Construction (Could be deleted upon discretion of PM)
  • 2 years of relevant experience as Contract/ Commercial Engineer
  • 1 year of relevant experience as Project Coordinator or Project Manager
  • 1 vacant position available in San Marcelino, Zambales
