Job Description

Job Summary:

The Project Controls Analyst is responsible for the consolidation, validation, analysis, and reporting of project performance data across all active projects under Construction Management (CM) and Construction operations. The role ensures accurate tracking of revenue, percentage of completion, cost of sales, and gross profit, and maintains alignment between actual performance and baseline‑approved project P&L. The position serves as the custodian of operational performance data, transforming dashboard inputs into structured reports and management‑ready insights that support decision‑making, financial integrity, and project governance at both project and portfolio levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Project Performance Monitoring & Analysis

  • Track and validate project revenue, cost, percentage of completion, and gross profit against approved baselines, ensuring accuracy and consistency of performance metrics.
  • Analyze variances and performance trends affecting schedule, cost, revenue recognition, and margins, and identify early warning indicators.
  • Provide analytical insights and recommendations to management to support corrective and preventive actions on underperforming projects.

2. Data Management & Project Consolidation

  • Collect, review, and validate operational and financial data from CM and Construction project teams.
  • Consolidate project-level data into enterprise-level performance views, ensuring comparability across projects.
  • Maintain and reconcile baseline-approved P&L records against actual performance, including tracking of approved changes.

3. Reporting & Management Support

  • Prepare and maintain operations dashboards for CM and Construction, ensuring accuracy and alignment with source data.
  • Produce structured project and consolidated management reports covering progress, financial performance, and gross profit.
  • Develop executive summaries and decision-support reports for management reviews, audits, and strategic discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Professional certifications in Project Management, Project Controls, or Data Analytics are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years relevant experience in Project Controls, Project performance reporting, Cost control / financial analysis, Project management support.
  • Demonstrated experience in multi‑project consolidation and portfolio‑level reporting. Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or real estate development projects is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of project controls principles, including progress measurement, cost control, revenue tracking, and overall project performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of percentage of completion methodologies and their relationship to revenue recognition and financial reporting.
  • Understanding of project financials, such as cost of sales, gross profit, and baseline to actual P&L variance analysis—is essential.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, particularly advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, modeling, reconciliation, and dashboard development.
  • Capable of consolidating multi-project operational and financial data and converting it into structured, management ready reports.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling tools and performance dashboards is an advantage.
  • Training or exposure to project controls, project management, data analytics, or financial analysis is desirable, while professional certifications are advantageous.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and accountability for data accuracy and timeliness.
  • Clear communication skills are required to explain technical and financial information to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Demands integrity, discretion in handling sensitive data, and the ability to collaborate effectively with operations and finance teams while working independently.
  • Proactiveness in identifying risks, variances, and early warning indicators.
