Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a Lawyer or a Licensed Engineer
- Has a sound knowledge of laws, regulations affecting the real estate development business
- With extensive background on regulatory compliance and government liaison in a real estate development set-up
- Skilled in leading a team and can render decisions when necessary
- Possessing strong assessment and analytical skills, paying careful and particular attention to details
- Good network/connections with concerned government agencies/offices is a plus
- Managers specializing in regulatory compliance or equivalent
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance of the Company's development plans with laws and regulations applicable to real estate development
- Ensures the timely processing and issuance of all permits and licenses for the Company's development projects in accordance with project schedules set by Management
- Coordinates with the Company's Project Planning, Licensing, Development Management, and Environmental Management teams for licensing requirements and compliance
- Performs liaison work with government regulatory agencies having jurisdiction over the Company's development projects
- Conducts inspection of the development projects to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Submits and presents to Management periodic reports on the status of project permits and licenses and accomplishment reports
- Prepares budget projections based on the regulatory requirements and incurred expenses
- Maintains and safekeeps all plans, licenses, and other records in connection with the Company's real estate development projects
- Identifies potential risks and threats and provides applicable preventive measures
- Informs Management and project teams of new regulations, real estate developments/trends and industry practices applicable to the business
