We are seeking an experienced
Project Architect to join our architectural team and lead projects from design development through construction documentation. The ideal candidate is a strong project leader who remains actively involved in architectural production and is comfortable working in a
high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
The successful candidate will take ownership of drawing deliverables, coordinate closely with project teams and consultants, and ensure accurate, complete, and high-quality documentation is delivered on schedule. Experience with
U.S.-based Institutional/Education projects is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architectural projects and take ownership of project deliverables from design development through construction documentation.
- Develop and oversee detailed construction document sets, including plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and related drawings.
- Remain actively involved in hands-on architectural production and technical documentation.
- Review architectural drawings for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate architectural work with consultants and other disciplines to resolve technical and documentation issues.
- Translate design intent and project requirements into accurate, practical, and buildable documentation.
- Perform thorough QA/QC reviews and identify potential design, coordination, and documentation issues before deliverables are issued.
- Incorporate client, consultant, and project team comments efficiently and accurately.
- Manage multiple project priorities while meeting established deadlines and production targets.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior architects and production team members.
- Communicate effectively with U.S.-based clients, consultants, and project teams regarding project progress, issues, and deliverables.
- Ensure project documentation follows established architectural standards, processes, and quality requirements.
- Support project teams in resolving construction-related and technical documentation challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field.
- 8+ years of professional architectural experience, preferably in a Project Architect or equivalent capacity.
- Proven experience with Institutional/Education projects.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Bluebeam.
- Demonstrated experience leading architectural projects while remaining actively involved in production.
- Strong experience developing construction documents and detailed architectural drawings.
- Strong understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, building systems, and constructability.
- Experience coordinating architectural documentation with consultants and other disciplines.
- Strong knowledge of project documentation standards and QA/QC processes.
- Experience working on U.S.-based architectural projects.
- Strong knowledge of applicable U.S. building codes and standards.
- Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven production environment.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to architectural production teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, coordination, and time-management skills.
