The Project Architect is responsible for supporting the overall design development and execution of assigned projects, ensuring quality, functionality, and compliance from planning through construction implementation. The role works closely with the Senior/Lead Design Architect and cross-functional project teams to produce timely and high-quality design deliverables, provide technical expertise, resolve design issues, and ensure adherence to company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements. The position also contributes to the successful delivery of projects by promoting design excellence, effective coordination, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Senior/Lead Design Architect in developing design concepts and studies.
- Coordinate with consultants and project teams to ensure design quality, completeness, compliance, and timely delivery.
- Participate in design coordination, project meetings, and technical discussions to resolve issues and align project requirements.
- Prepare design presentations and supporting materials for management approval.
- Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs, RFAs, and resolving design-related concerns.
- Perform in-house design studies, project documentation, and administrative support as required.
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Registered and Licensed Architect with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail design or property development.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/Archicad, rendering software, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledgeable in local building codes, construction standards, and all phases of the design process.
- Strong communication, creative thinking, planning, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Demonstrates leadership, people management, and sound business and financial awareness.
