What we're looking for:

We are seeking a Part-Time Programming Assistant to support the development of a highly confidential, AI-powered platform designed for the nonprofit sector. This role will contribute to building a modern fundraising intelligence and prospect research tool that integrates web technologies, CRM functionality, and AI-driven insights.

This is a temporary (6 month contract), part-time role (approximately 4 hours per day), ideal for a technically capable candidate looking to work on a fast-evolving, mission-driven product.

Responsibilities—what you'll do:

• Assist in building and maintaining web application components (frontend and backend)
• Support website creation, publishing, and updates
• Collaborate on integrating AI tools and workflows into the platform
• Contribute to feature development for CRM and prospect research functionality
• Help implement and test AI-driven research and scoring pipelines
• Troubleshoot bugs and support general technical improvements
• Work closely with project stakeholders to iterate on product features

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in software development, web development, or technical project support
• Experience creating, publishing, and maintaining websites (custom builds or CMS platforms)
• Working knowledge of programming fundamentals (JavaScript, Python preferred)
• Familiarity with modern web frameworks (e.g., React for frontend, FastAPI for backend)
• Basic understanding of full-stack application architecture
• Experience integrating or working with APIs
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude
• Exposure to prompt engineering or building AI-assisted workflows
• General understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical applications
• Familiarity with CRM systems or database-driven applications
• Exposure to data handling, structuring, or analysis workflows
• Experience in nonprofit technology, fundraising tools, or prospect research platforms is a plus
• Fully fluent in English
• Ability to commit long-term and full-time
