Summary
Designs, creates, and maintains business reports and/or corporate data to provide visualization and actionable insights for decision-making of both Alorica clients and internal partners. Coordinates with stakeholders and counterparts to establish requirements and dependencies as well as to resolve reporting issues.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create and customize reports, dashboards, and visualizations to meet business needs using Business Intelligence tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
- Write, optimize, maintain, and automate SQL queries to manipulate data from databases including Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) process.
- Perform unit testing to ensure accuracy and performance of reports through validating individual units of scripts, objects, and/or architecture prior to UAT.
- Work Business Analysts and/ or with stakeholders to analyze and understand the requirements of the reports requested. May also conduct the scoping and requirements gathering by coordinating with Project team or requestor and translating user stories into Technical Requirements document.
- Identify and fix issues in existing reports and ensure data integrity including concerns reported through ServiceNow or by stakeholders. May also work with more senior developers or other teams for more complex issues. Support may extend to off-business hours and/or weekends (On-Call).
- Manage requests or projects from the design phase with considerations to evolving requirements and inputs from the Project team, Management, and end-users up to deployment and scheduling through coordination with Support team.
- Prepare charts, wireframes, and diagrams to assist in problem analysis, process visualization, and solution recommendations.
- Develop training materials, Trackers and Standard Operating Procedures for end users, report/ process documentation, and team reference.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent relevant work experience required.
Experience:
- Three years of previous programming and analysis or related experience required.
- Balance of academic and practical application.
- Project management experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics:
- Strong command of SQL and its syntaxes along with creation of scripts, views, and stored procedures.
- Experience in working/ using Data Lake and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience in creating customized reports and dashboards using SSRS and Power BI is highly advantageous.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and database design principles.
- Knowledge of web programming, including Python, is an advantage.
- Project Management skills are an advantage.
- Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Microsoft Excel's formulas and integration to database.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Knows how to translate business language to technical language or vice-versa.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work in a multitasked environment.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
