Job Description

What this job involves:

An experienced Technical Program Manager with preferably a Critical Infrastructure and Data Center background is being sought, to cover APAC and Pan- Phillipines Program Management delivery, consultancy and Project Management support for Projects for a Global Hyperscale Client.

He/she should be an able practitioner, who will have hands on experience of critical infrastructure and systems projects, program management, design and engineering management, commissioning and close-out. You will also be well-versed in early site-planning for newbuild / greenfield developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for demonstrating high levels of project and technical leadership, stakeholder management, coordination and advice on critical infrastructure and data centre projects. You will be a key person in the team responsible for scheduling, collaborating with different teams and fostering effective alignment and communication channels. You will preferably have a Technical Engineering background in either Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering. Prior hands-on experience such as Design, Installation, Commissioning and ISTs in data centres is expected and a pre-requisite.

This is an exciting role for a talented individual looking to excel in a regional role. You will be reporting to the Work Dynamics Account Lead, he/she will be expected to manage the capital budget and delivery of projects through the region and report accordingly.

Job Scope And Responsibilities

  • Liaison and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with the FEP Global scheduling team, fostering effective communication and alignment.
  • Engage with APAC FEP, DES (Design and Execution), PCG (Project Controls Group), and DCS (Data Center Services) teams to synchronize efforts.
  • Program Scheduling:
  • Compile and develop program schedules for design and construction projects.
  • Maintain accuracy and consistency in project timelines.
  • Templates and Pro-forma:
  • Produce and update templates and other project pro-forma materials for senior management.
  • Team Support:
  • Assist with team Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Establish a pre-construction program planning function aligned with the Build Development Plan (BDP).
  • Program Meetings:
  • Facilitate scheduled and ad-hoc program meetings with Client Regional Program Managers.
  • Document detailed meeting notes, track actionable items, and ensure follow-up.
  • Project Process Tools:
  • Manage project controls within the Client's Software (Project Management Tool).
  • Execute Term Sheet processes for project funding requests.
  • Initiate new contracts under software workflows and tools.
  • Complete Stage Gate deliverables.
  • Conduct end-to-end project risk analysis and maintain the Risk Registers.
  • Facilitate workshops and progress reviews (Dev Deploy 2, Campus Planning).
  • Set up DC Cross-Functional Reviews (CFRs).
  • Regularly review design tracking, including change management and RFIs.
  • Support and track issues and updates for projects using software tools.
  • Ensure Stage Gate sign-offs for Gate 1 & 2.
  • Program Reporting:
  • Collaborate with FEP RM & RPM to compile and execute specific reports:
  • Weekly, Fortnightly and Monthly reports (Project Dashboard).
  • APAC (Quarterly) Reviews.
  • Term Sheet Production & Offline Seed Funding Cycle Review.
  • APAC (Monthly) DCStat P&P Active Reporting Projects Review.
  • Prepare CP reports for executive reporting meetings.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Drive process improvements aligned with the Construction Agreement and Project Manual.
  • Provide interface support with partner teams and vendors.
  • Adapt to evolving business needs and scenarios.
  • Location and Travel:
  • Be prepared for up to 25% travel within APAC, adhering to country-specific policies.

Education and experience:

  • What we're looking for is a technical candidate with at least 10 years overall experience and 5 years Critical Systems experience.
  • You will be experienced in managing multiple parties, vendors, stakeholders and priorities with various milestones.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in remote management
  • You will be detailed orientated and organized in your approach to project management.
  • Prior experience in Program Management (international experience in capital works and/or programs with multiple projects) preferred.

Likewise, you must show your aptitude in developing improvement initiatives and continuous improvements. You must also display flexibility in managing daily activities using various systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution. Preference towards a Degree in Architecture or Engineer
  • Familiar with local statutory submissions and approvals process
  • At least 10 years experience with previous role as a Architect, Engineer Project Manager, Construction Manage or similar.
  • Ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to client and team to achieve project goals
  • Strong working knowledge of technical drawings and single line diagrams.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal clients as well as external team members (architects, contractors, client's representatives, etc.).
  • Ability to manage all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, submittals, change orders.
  • Fully competent at managing all types/sizes of projects.
