ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:New Product Introduction (NPI):
Ø Own end-to-end NPI program execution across multiple product categories, from development kickoff through production ramp and launch readiness.
Ø Translate Product Management requirements and PRDs into executable program plans, including scope, schedule, milestones, dependencies, and resourcing.
Ø Lead products through defined stage-gate reviews (e.g., concept freeze, EVT/DVT/PVT, pilot build, mass production approval), ensuring cross-functional alignment and executive visibility.
Ø Partner with Purchasing to align supplier selection, tooling readiness, cost targets, MOQs, and production schedules with launch objectives.
Ø Ensure manufacturing partners execute Monoprice specifications, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and packaging requirements.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Ø Serve as the single-threaded owner for program delivery, coordinating Product Management, Purchasing, Supplier Quality, Compliance, Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
Ø Drive accountability across internal teams and external suppliers without direct authority, using data, influence, and structured governance.
Ø Facilitate decision-making, trade-off discussions, and escalation of risks or blockers to leadership.
Risk, Issue, and Change Management
Ø Establish and maintain integrated program schedules, dashboards, and KPIs (timeline, cost, readiness, risk).
Ø Provide clear, concise status updates to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting risks, decisions needed, and progress to plan.
Ø Drive continuous improvement in NPI execution processes, tools, and templates.
Program Governance and Communication
Ø Establish and maintain integrated program schedules, dashboards, and KPIs (timeline, cost, readiness, risk).
Ø Provide clear, concise status updates to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting risks, decisions needed, and progress to plan.
Ø Drive continuous improvement in NPI execution processes, tools, and templates.
Portfolio Contribution
Ø Manage multiple concurrent NPI programs with varying levels of complexity and maturity.
Ø Mentor and guide Project Coordinators by providing direction, prioritization, and context while retaining ownership of outcomes.
Management Responsibilities: Project Coordinators (Maintenance & Data Quality)
The Senior Program Manager shares functional leadership responsibility with the US-Based Program Management team for Project Coordinators supporting project maintenance, tracking, and data quality. While Project Coordinators do not own delivery outcomes, the Senior Program Manager is accountable for ensuring their work enables accurate decision‑making, effective execution, and portfolio transparency.
Direction and Work Assignment
Ø Ensure Project Coordinators maintain accurate, timely, and complete project data across systems of record (e.g., schedules, trackers, dashboards, documentation repositories).
Ø Set standards for data accuracy, naming conventions, version control, and update cadence.
Ø Regularly review project artifacts (timelines, RAID logs, trackers, status reports) to validate integrity and usability.
Process and Tool Compliance
Ø Enforce consistent use of defined NPI processes, stage‑gate artifacts, and project management tools.
Ø Ensure Project Coordinators correctly support stage‑gate readiness by collecting required inputs, documentation, and approvals.
Ø Identify gaps or inefficiencies in tools or workflows and drive improvements to reduce administrative burden and improve signal quality.
Coaching and Development
Ø Coach Project Coordinators on core project management fundamentals, including documentation discipline, meeting facilitation, and follow-through.
Ø Provide ongoing feedback to improve judgment, prioritization, and understanding of the broader NPI lifecycle.
Ø Develop Project Coordinators as scalable support resources while maintaining clear boundaries between coordination and program ownership.
Quality Control and Escalation
Ø Act as the quality gate for information flowing from Project Coordinators to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
Ø Ensure risks, issues, and dependencies identified by Project Coordinators are properly analyzed, framed, and escalated.
Ø Correct misalignment, incomplete information, or low-quality reporting before it impacts execution or executive confidence.
Role Boundary Enforcement
Ø Maintain a clear distinction between Program Manager ownership and Project Coordinator support responsibilities.
Ø Prevent role drift where Project Coordinators are asked to make delivery commitments, manage cross-functional trade-offs, or represent program decisions.
Ø Reinforce that accountability for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and launch readiness remains with the Senior Program Manager.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ø Graduate with a bachelor's degree in Program Management, Business Management, or any related field.
Ø Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional NPI programs from concept to mass production.
Ø Strong understanding of overseas manufacturing, supplier management, tooling, and production readiness.
Ø Experience working with specification-owned, private-label, or brand-owner business models.
Ø Proven ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ø Motivated self-starter with a high attention to detail.
Ø Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams in geographically diverse locations.
Ø Excellent knowledge of project performance evaluation and change management principles.
Experience (number of years and type of experience)
Ø Minimum of 7 years experience in program management, product operations, or NPI leadership within consumer electronics or a similar hardware-driven business model.
Technical or specific skills (e.g., technical, computer)
Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills; stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
Ø Close attention to detail with the ability to balance tactical execution and strategic thinking.
Ø Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Asana, MS Project, etc.) is preferred.
Ø Ability to perform intermediate-level mathematics, such as calculating percentages.
Ø Proven, excellent communication skills, meeting organization, and management.
