The Program Manager for Merchant Partnership & Usage is responsible for driving the growth of the installment business through merchant partnerships and targeted usage programs. The role ensures that installment programs contribute significantly to overall credit card billings, loans, and revenue, while strengthening customer loyalty and positioning BPI Credit Cards as the preferred payment option. The position also manages merchant relationships, pricing strategies, and program profitability, while collaborating with internal teams and external partners to deliver sustainable business growth.
Responsibilities
- Plans, executes, and implements installment programs and campaigns to promote cardholder usage and loyalty
- Understands customer segment needs, monitors competitive activity, and identifies new trends and opportunities for targeted loyalty and retention programs
- Manages merchant relationships and partnerships, negotiates agreements, and drives merchant volume and profitability
- Ensures effectiveness of strategies and adjusts plans to achieve growth targets
- Defines pricing strategy for merchant subsidy rates and delivers SIP merchant revenue
- Identifies, launches, and implements usage installment programs to drive customer behavior change
- Manages SIP merchant usage performance both online and offline and identifies improvement opportunities
- Collaborates with internal teams, including Data Science, Finance, and other divisions, to implement programs and monitor performance
- Works with third-party payment processing partners to onboard new merchants and manage existing relationships
- Implements and tracks strategic and tactical usage programs to ensure targets are achieved
- Develops program profitability models and ensures programs meet financial goals
- Manages resources, budget, and personnel to maximize results while ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any business-related course, preferably with honors from a top school
- At least 6–8 years of managerial experience in sales and/or marketing; experience in card usage and marketing is a plus
- Strong knowledge of credit card metrics (customer base, billings, loans, revolve rate, revenue)
- Financial acumen in campaign/program levers and projections
- Expertise in marketing, data analytics, campaign performance monitoring, account management, project management, and strategic planning
- Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, analytical, and people management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, creativity, and initiative
