Title: Program Coordinator, Psycho and Social Care

Position Summary

The Psychosocial Coordinator is responsible for providing psychosocial support to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey. The role ensures patients and families feel supported, informed, and empowered while integrating psychosocial care into the overall clinical and programmatic services of the Cebu COE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient and Family Support
  • Provide emotional and psychosocial support to patients and their families during consultations, surgeries, and follow-ups
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as needed.
  • Serve as liaison between patients, families, and the medical team to address psychosocial concerns.
  • Program Coordination
  • Plan and implement activities aimed at enhancing patient well-being, including support groups, workshops, and recreational activities.
  • Develop educational materials and tools to guide families on psychosocial aspects of cleft care.
  • Monitor and evaluate psychosocial interventions and recommend improvements.
  • Advocacy and Awareness
  • Advocate for patient-centered care and ensure psychosocial needs are integrated into treatment planning.
  • Collaborate with community partners to promote awareness of psychosocial aspects of cleft care.
  • Represent the Foundation in psychosocial-related events and initiatives as needed.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and psychosocial activities.
  • Prepare regular reports on psychosocial programs and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with donor, clinical, and organizational documentation standards.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with Nursing Services and Medical Services teams to ensure psychosocial integration in patient care.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support a holistic approach to treatment and recovery.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Child Psychology, Guidance and Counseling, or related field.
  • Background or training in Child Psychology is highly preferred.
  • Licensed Social Worker is an advantage.
  • Experience in counseling, psychosocial support, or patient-facing healthcare programs is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, especially in documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare
