Job Summary:
The Professional Medical Representative (PMR) for the Ophthalmology Business Unit is responsible for promoting and generating demand for assigned ophthalmic products by effectively engaging ophthalmologists, and other relevant healthcare professionals within the assigned territory. The PMR ensures ethical, science-based detailing while achieving sales targets and strengthening long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Promotion
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets through effective product detailing and territory management
- Promote ophthalmology products to ophthalmologists, hospital accounts, clinics, and pharmacies
- Execute promotional strategies, campaigns, and programs in alignment with company objectives
- Conduct product presentations, in-clinic discussions, and scientific detailing based on approved materials
Territory & Account Management
- Develop and implement a territory action plan to maximize coverage and productivity
- Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and target accounts
- Monitor competitor activities and provide timely market intelligence and field insights
- Ensure optimal call frequency and coverage efficiency within the assigned area
Medical & Product Knowledge
- Demonstrate strong understanding of ophthalmic diseases, products, and treatment protocols
- Stay updated on clinical data, product updates, and industry developments
- Address healthcare professional inquiries accurately and compliantly
Compliance & Reporting
- Adhere strictly to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines
- Submit accurate and timely sales reports, call reports, and other required documentation
- Properly manage samples, promotional materials, and company-issued resources
Qualifications & Requirements:
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Technology, Biology, or any related course
- Fresh graduates are welcome; experience as a PMR handling ophthalmology or specialty products is an advantage
Experience & Skills
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales is preferred
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Customer-focused with the ability to build professional relationships
- Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in the field
Technical & Personal Competencies
- Preferably residing in or near Lipa City, Batangas
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively
- Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, CRM tools)
