POSITION: Production Shift Supervisor
Job Purpose: The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily work activities of the Line Technicians and closely coordinate with 3rd party service providers in managing the line output from a standpoint of quality and quantity to meet customer requirements, effectively controlling costs and continuously improving production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions.
Job Functions:
1. Plan and organize within his/her shift all production line resources which include personnel and service providers.
- Coordinate with Production Planner for production targets every start of the shift
- Coordinate with Maintenance Supervisor for scheduled preventive maintenance of the line
- Develop weekly production schedule when assigned on 1st shift
- Develop personnel schedule based on leaves
- Check raw materials and finished goods inventory
- Initiate request of raw materials with the Production Planner
- Interact daily with 3rd party service providers to communicate the production schedule and necessary activities
- Review Service Providers manpower schedule when assigned on 1st shift
2. Develop and maintain production system policies and procedures.
- Establish policies and procedures
- Establish production standards
- Ensure compliance of all personnel to Food Safety and Quality standards
- Conduct regular review of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and update if necessary
- Assist in the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and other plant initiatives to help achieve targets
3. Facilitate inspection of raw materials and finished goods including packaging materials during his/her shift. Establishment of Work Instructions, and Food Safety and Quality Plans
- Checks quality of raw and finished products to ensure first-pass quality and lesser hold items
- Analyze production data and develop ways to improve current results
- Facilitate corrections to equipment malfunctions within process control points
- Conduct root cause analysis of any non-conformance and develop preventive/corrective measures to avoid recurrence
4. Lead and motivate regular employees
- Track absenteeism and timekeeping
- Coach, counsel and discipline employees
- Develop competency of regular employees thru formal or informal training
- Coordinate the competency development of service providers.
Qualification:
- Graduate of any Engineering/Technical courses.
- PRC License an advantage.
- With training in Manufacturing Operations, 5S, MS Office, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Occupational Safety and Health.
- Knowledge in GMP, QMP, HACCP, or Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
- With background in Total Production Maintenance
Position will be based in our Manufacturing Operations in Bugo, Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. Qualified candidates must be willing to relocate to CDO.
