Job Description

POSITION: PRODUCTION PLANNING MANAGER

JOB LOCATION: First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP), Sto. Tomas, Batangas

JOB SUMMARY: The Production Planning Manager will be responsible for leading and optimizing end-to-end production planning and scheduling to ensure efficient utilization of resources, on-time delivery, and alignment with demand forecasts. This role will oversee capacity planning, materials availability, and production sequencing while collaborating closely with manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and supply chain teams. The position requires a strong analytical mindset, expertise in SAP systems, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, responsiveness, and cost-effectiveness in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing capacity, labor, and machine utilization.
  • Demand & Supply Alignment: Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and sales teams to align production plans with demand forecasts and material availability.
  • Capacity Planning: Analyze production capacity, identify constraints, and recommend solutions to ensure optimal output and resource allocation.
  • Material Planning Coordination: Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components by coordinating closely with procurement and inventory teams.
  • SAP System Management: Utilize SAP (MM, PP, and related modules) for planning, scheduling, and reporting. Drive system accuracy, data integrity, and process standardization.
  • Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels, minimize excess and obsolete stock, and ensure optimal stock availability to support production requirements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution of production plans.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze KPIs such as production adherence, OTIF (On Time In Full), inventory turnover, and forecast accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Risk Management: Anticipate supply chain or production disruptions and develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Continuous Improvement & Digitalization: Drive initiatives in automation, planning tools enhancement, and data analytics to improve planning accuracy and operational efficiency.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Must have production planning management experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP, particularly MM and PP modules (WM knowledge is an advantage).
  • Proven experience in production scheduling, capacity planning, and demand forecasting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work on a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment with a strong focus on results and execution.
