Location: Production Facility Philippines
I. Job Purpose
The Production Molding Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling plastic
injection molding operations to ensure the achievement of production targets in terms of
output, quality, cost, safety, and delivery, while ensuring compliance with company policies,
customer requirements, and Philippine labor and occupational safety regulations.
Ii. Key Result Areas (kra) & Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Control
Develop and execute production plans aligned with approved schedules.
Ensure efficient utilization of machines, molds, manpower, and materials.
Monitor daily production output and take corrective actions to meet targets.
- Process and Technical Management
Establish and maintain standard molding parameters and work instructions.
Lead mold trials, process validation, and new product introduction (NPI).
Troubleshoot complex molding defects and process deviations.
Coordinate with Maintenance on mold and machine preventive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Support ISO / IATF / customer audits related to molding operations.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for molding-related issues.
Reduce scrap, rework, and customer complaints related to molding.
Lead, coach, and evaluate molding supervisors, technicians, and operators.
Ensure proper training, skill development, and manpower competency.
Enforce discipline and recommend personnel actions following due process.
Ensure compliance with working hours, overtime, and rest day regulations.
- Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE)
Enforce compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards.
Ensure proper use of PPE, machine guards, and safety procedures.
Promote 5S, safe work practices, and accident prevention initiatives.
Investigate and report safety incidents and implement preventive actions.
- Cost and Continuous Improvement
Control molding-related costs (scrap, utilities, consumables, overtime).
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and yield.
Support lean manufacturing and productivity improvement programs.
- Reporting and Coordination
Prepare and submit production and performance reports to management.
Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Purchasing, and Warehouse.
Provide technical input for management decisions and improvements.
III. AUTHORITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY
Allocate molding manpower and machines based on production priorities.
Approve parameter adjustments within validated process limits.
Recommend process improvements, tooling changes, and CAPEX requests.
Recommend disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
Iv. Qualifications
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering, or related field
- Licensed Engineer is an advantage
Work Experience
- Minimum of 710 years of experience in plastic injection molding
- At least 35 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Technical Skills
- Injection molding processes and defect analysis
- Plastic materials and mold fundamentals
- Process optimization and troubleshooting
- ISO / IATF quality systems knowledge
