Production Manager

Lead world-class manufacturing operations. As Production Manager, you will oversee end-to-end production of liquid milk and canned products, ensuring quality, food safety, and operational excellence at Alaska Milk Corporation's Condensed Milk Plant.

At Alaska Milk Corporation, we are committed to nourishing Filipino families with high-quality dairy nutrition. We are looking for a Production Manager to lead operations at our Condensed Milk Plant (CMP) in San Pedro, a critical facility delivering a majority of our production output.

This role requires a strong and hands-on leader who can manage a highly unionized workforce, ensure the highest standards in quality and food safety, and drive efficient, world-class manufacturing performance.

What you'll do:

Lead End-to-End Manufacturing Operations

• Oversee full production operations—from raw material planning to finished goods output
• Ensure consistent product quality, food safety compliance, and efficient plant performance
• Drive reliable execution in a high-volume, continuous production environment

Ensure Food Safety & Quality Excellence

• Uphold strict compliance with food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, company policies)
• Ensure processes meet the highest quality standards for dairy production

Drive Operational Performance

• Lead initiatives to sustain and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste

Lead and Develop Teams

• Manage, coach, and develop supervisors and plant personnel
• Build a high-performing culture rooted in accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement
• Effectively engage and lead within a unionized environment

Strengthen Systems & Processes

• Improve adherence to operational processes and transition to more robust systems and documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely decision-making in a complex production environment

What We Ask

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in FMCG or food production
• Proven leadership experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP)
• Deep understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes
• Experience in driving OEE and continuous improvement initiatives
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and team development skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
• High attention to detail and operational discipline

He/She will lead CMP team in San Pedro Plant, CMP team is a highly experienced and tightly coordinated production group responsible for delivering the majority of SPL's production volume. Operating within a strong unionized environment, the team thrives on collaboration, mutual respect, and disciplined execution. Notably, all leaders within the organization are 100% homegrown—developed internally from operator level—bringing deep process knowledge, practical expertise, and strong credibility with the workforce.Given the highly sensitive nature of condensed milk, evaporated milk and creams, where product quality can be easily compromised, the team possesses solid expertise in dairy processing, strict hygiene standards, and advanced plant technology. This ensures consistent adherence to food safety and quality requirements.With approximately 70% of union officers based in this plant, leadership requires exceptional people management skills, strong engagement, and effective communication to sustain alignment and productivity.
