Job Summary

We are looking for a highly driven Product Engineering Technician to support the Product Engineering function with a focus on Power Supply Units (PSUs). This role plays a pivotal part in the product development lifecycle by serving as a technical interface between design engineering and manufacturing operations. The technician will contribute to ensuring that PSU products meet stringent performance, quality, and reliability standards from initial development through to high-volume production. This role reports directly to the Product Engineer.

Key Responsibilities

The Product Technician for power supplies is responsible for sustaining and improving the performance of existing PSU designs through the following activities:

  • Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Diagnose and analyze power supply issues occurring both in the factory and in the field, utilizing diagnostic tools and methodologies to identify the root cause of failures.
  • Product Characterization: Perform comprehensive evaluation and validation of PSU performance across varying operating conditions.
  • Calibration and Testing: Conduct PSU calibrations and assist Test Engineering in the development and optimization of test procedures.
  • Test Documentation: Prepare clear and accurate test reports, including observations, data analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Bench Setup and Assembly: Set up test benches and carry out wiring and assembly of peripherals required for PSU testing.
  • Process Compliance: Follow internal factory procedures and systems, including 6S, EMS, and RBA standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Bachelor's degree or Technology in Electronics or any equivalent field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, product design fundamentals, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, programmable AC/DC power supplies, multimeters, electronic loads, power analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, including converter topologies, AC/DC circuits, and magnetics.
  • Experience in component‑level testing and isolation procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics accurately.
