A Product Specialist focused on building and improving Maya's Enterprise Merchant Onboarding Process, with hands‑on exposure to onboarding workflows, merchant structures, and operational processes. The role supports smooth, compliant, and scalable onboarding journeys for enterprise merchants, helping them opt and activate payment acceptance methods quickly and efficiently. Working closely with engineering, risk, compliance, operations, and commercial teams, this role emphasizes practical problem‑solving, continuous improvement, and a strong understanding of how onboarding, provisioning, and fulfillment come together to create a positive merchant experience.
NATURE OF WORK
- Own onboarding‑related provisioning, order management, and fulfillment flows across digital and physical payment products
- Define and enhance processes for merchant setup, activation, and access enablement, including terminals, Checkouts, softPos
- Improve and streamline merchant onboarding flows across different merchant types by identifying friction points, manual steps, and gaps
- Support end‑to‑end onboarding product delivery, from requirements and design through launch and iteration, in collaboration with Engineering, Risk, and Compliance
- Contribute to intuitive ordering and setup experiences aligned with Sales and Operations workflows
- Support post‑onboarding servicing needs such as product changes, upgrades, and issue resolution through efficient tools and processes
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver consistent, compliant, and scalable onboarding outcomes
- Share onboarding insights, improvements, and updates with cross‑functional teams to support continuous improvement
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of Product Management experience, ideally in FinTech, Acquiring, or Risk/Compliance domains
- Strong understanding of merchant onboarding, KYC/KYB, underwriting, and regulatory processes
- Experience designing scalable onboarding journeys for high-volume or enterprise merchants
- Track record of launching onboarding platforms with measurable business impact
- Data-driven, with the ability to translate insights into roadmap prioritization
- Strong communicator with experience presenting to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
