Position Type: Full-time

Location: Philippines (Remote)

Schedule: M-F schedule either 5am-1pm CST or 6am-2pm CST

About The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Product Researcher (eCommerce) to help identify, evaluate, and validate product opportunities for online marketplaces. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys deep research, interpreting data, and turning insights into actionable recommendations.

You'll be responsible for researching market trends, analyzing competitors, evaluating product performance, and collaborating closely with product development, sourcing, and marketing teams. Your work will directly influence product selection, pricing strategies, and overall business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth product research to identify new product opportunities with strong market fit and profitability
  • Track and analyze market trends, customer behavior, and emerging niches
  • Perform competitive analysis to inform product development, positioning, and pricing strategies
  • Identify customer needs and preferences to anticipate future demand
  • Evaluate product performance using data analysis and reporting tools
  • Collaborate with product development teams to design, test, and refine products
  • Ensure product data and information are accurate and up to date across eCommerce platforms
  • Support product testing initiatives and analyze post-launch performance
  • Work closely with marketing teams to inform product promotions, launches, and advertising strategies
  • Partner with sourcing and vendor teams to support strategic product selection and negotiations
  • Prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate research findings
  • Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and user reactions after product launches
  • Maintain research databases and continuously refine research and sourcing methodologies

Must-Have

Competencies and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Product Researcher, Market Researcher, or similar role in eCommerce
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data and trends
  • Proficiency with data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously
  • Understanding of market research methodologies and statistical concepts
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience working with online marketplaces (Amazon, Shopify, or similar platforms)
  • Knowledge of SEO and keyword research tools
  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) systems
  • Experience collaborating with sourcing or supply chain teams
