Product Officer (Loans)

The role is responsible for leading the end-to-end development, enhancement, and management of the bank's loan products. This includes overseeing product requirements, ensuring timely project completion, and driving profitability through continuous performance analysis and optimization. The position leads product innovation, market research, and competitor benchmarking to maintain strong market positioning and support business growth.

The role ensures full regulatory compliance, coordinates implementation readiness across multiple internal and external teams, and prepares business cases, financial forecasts, and documentation required for approvals. It also monitors product performance, resolves product-related issues, supports pilot testing and rollout, and provides product risk assessments. Additionally, the role contributes to product communication, training, and promotional activities in collaboration with Marketing and Sales.

Responsibilities

• Gathers data and market research that helps in the development and enhancement of bank loan products and services.
• Provides assistance in conducting research studies to expand the bank product portfolio and/or innovate existing bank products and services.
• Helps in identifying the nature and scope of new products as to specifications, requirements, and pricing.
• Participates in the acquisition and management of product vendors.
• Assists in the completion of the documentary requirements for development and enhancement of bank products.
• Supports the pilot testing of new bank products and solicits feedback for improvement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of any four-year course preferably Economics, Statistics and Math-related
• With at least one (1) year of work-related experience in product development and market research preferably from a bank or financial services industry.
• Knowledge of the following is preferred: cohort analysis, A/B testing, retention analysis, heat mapping, form analysis, and funnel analysis.
