Job Description

Designation: PRODUCT OFFICER

Office Location: Makati (HEAD OFFICE)

Position description: Manages the Agribusiness products and implements the marketing and promotional activities to achieve the product's credit portfolio growth and profitability target. Also provides guidance to Relationship Managers in tagging accounts qualified for mandatory credit allocation for agriculture and agrarian reform, and performs vetting of qualified agribusiness projects

Primary Responsibilities

  • 1. Product Development a. Recommends new product or product innovation aligned with the Bank's direction and strategy in attaining business objectives. b. Ensures that new products and product variants or enhancements to existing products comply with the requirements prescribed in the product approval policy and relevant rules and regulations. c. Evaluates the marketability and profitability of existing products at least once a year or as necessary. 2. Portfolio Management a. Prepares periodic monitoring report of product credit portfolio to measure its performance against portfolio growth and profitability target. b. Provides guidance to the Relationship Managers in the proper tagging of qualified accounts for agriagra mandatory credit. 3. Product Marketing a. Collaborates with different client groups of the Bank for the promotion and innovation of managed products and initiate marketing activities and participate on relevant conventions and forums. b. Conducts product market briefings and training for capacity building of Relationship Managers, Credit Officers and other concerned units in the Bank. c. Provides support to the Relationship Management Group to promote the managed products to its clients. 4. Project Evaluation Performs project vetting to provide technical and financial evaluation of qualified agribusiness projects based on their industry knowledge and expertise. 5. Administrative Management Coordinates with other units of the Bank for administrative matters assigned by the Division Head. 6. People Management - Provides guidance and support to direct reports ensuring their adequate training and development in order to achieve targets, deliver the job requirements and have a fulfilling and progressive career in the Bank
