The Product Manager exists to ensure that PayMongo delivers products that are valuable, viable, usable, and feasible for the merchant partners and the business. This role drives the end-to-end product lifecycle from product discovery and research to launch and continuous improvement to ensure alignment between customer needs, market opportunities, business strategy, and engineering capacity. By balancing user experience, revenue opportunities, compliance considerations and technical constraints, the Product Manager plays a critical role in shaping and sustaining PayMongo's growth trajectory and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities include
- Own and drive the product roadmap. Map out the product roadmap, business models, and strategies for driving revenue and customer value. Build compelling narratives that influence decisions across the org and justify prioritization choices.
- Lead product discovery and design sprints. Partner with Product Design and cross-functional stakeholders to conduct user research, define problems, ideate solutions, and select experiments/features to pursue.
- Define product requirements and success metrics. Translate customer and business requirements into detailed product requirements and measurable success KPIs; align metrics with management.
- Manage product development with Engineering. Influence teams without authority, contribute to sprint planning, facilitate rituals, resolve prioritization conflicts, unblock dependencies, and ensure execution excellence.
- Manage regulatory and financial implications of product decision. Collaborate with finance, risk, and compliance to evaluate product exposure, pricing implications, cashflow effects and adherence to BSP and other regulatory standards.
- Drive go-to-market and stakeholder success. Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and partner teams to craft product launches, narratives and adoption strategies
