About Moovsoon

Moovsoon is a data and lead-engagement platform built for the moving and transportation industry. We help moving companies and home-service providers modernize how they win customers — identifying homeowners-ready-to-move, building Realtor referral networks, and automating outreach across email, SMS, and direct mail.

We're a small, fast-moving team headquartered in New York, building software that's already loved by our users and gaining serious traction in a category that's been overdue for a tech overhaul. Joining now means real ownership over what we build next.

About the Role

We're looking for a curious, sharp Product Management / Research Associate Intern to sit at the intersection of product, data, and customer insight. You'll work closely with the founder and product lead to study our users, the moving industry at large, and the competitive landscape — translating what you find into product decisions, feature specs, and go-to-market experiments.

This is a hybrid PM-and-research role designed for someone who wants to build the muscles of an early-stage product manager: talking to users, structuring messy information, prioritizing what matters, and shipping things that move the business.

What You'll Do

  • Customer & market research — Conduct user interviews with movers, dispatchers, sales reps, and Realtors. Synthesize calls into themes and opportunities.
  • Competitive analysis — Map adjacent products, identify gaps in the market, and produce briefs that shape our roadmap.
  • Product discovery — Help define problems worth solving. Draft PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for new features.
  • Data exploration — Dig into product usage data and real estate datasets to surface trends, opportunities, and customer behavior patterns.
  • Feature prioritization — Help weigh trade-offs across what's requested, what's valuable, and what's feasible.
  • Beta testing & QA — Validate new features before launch and gather structured feedback from early users.
  • Cross-functional collaboration — Partner with engineering, design, and growth to keep work moving and well-scoped.
  • Industry intelligence — Stay close to news, conferences, and trends in moving, logistics, and real estate; share what's worth our attention.

Who You Are

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Business, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field — though we care more about how you think than what's on your diploma.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator in English. You can take a messy 45-minute interview and turn it into a one-page summary anyone can act on.
  • Genuinely curious about how businesses work. You ask why a lot.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity — startups rarely hand you a clean problem statement.
  • Self-directed. You can manage your own time across a remote, internationally distributed team.
  • Analytical. Spreadsheets don't scare you, and you're at least conversational with data tools (Excel/Sheets, SQL is a plus).
  • Detail-oriented but able to zoom out and see the bigger picture.
Bonus Points For

  • Prior internship or project experience in product management, consulting, market research, UX research, or a startup environment.
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS, CRM tools, marketing automation, or sales tech.
  • Exposure to SQL, Notion, Figma, Linear/Jira, or similar tools.
  • Interest or background in real estate, logistics, or the moving industry.
  • A side project, blog, newsletter, or anything that shows you build and learn on your own.
What You'll Get

  • Direct mentorship from the founder and product lead.
  • Real responsibility from week one — your work will ship and reach customers.
  • A front-row seat to how an early-stage B2B SaaS company is built, sold, and scaled.
  • Flexible, fully remote work — design your hours around real productivity, not theater.
  • A clear pathway to a full-time offer for interns who excel.
  • Letter of recommendation and references for school or future roles.

Logistics

  • Hours: Flexible, but expect 3–4 hours of overlap with U.S. Eastern Time (9am–6pm ET) for live calls, customer interviews, and team syncs.
  • Commitment: Minimum 20 hours/week for part-time, 35–40 hours/week for full-time.
  • Start date: Rolling — we hire as we find great people.
  • Equipment: You'll need a reliable laptop and internet connection. We'll cover essential software tooling.

How to Apply

  1. Include your CV
  2. A short note (no more than 200 words) telling us: what about Moovsoon caught your eye, and one product or business you think is doing customer research really well — and why.
  3. Optional but encouraged: a link to anything you've made — a writeup, a side project, a teardown, an analysis. We love seeing how people think.

No cover letters required. We read every application.

Moovsoon is an equal-opportunity employer. We welcome applicants from every country, background, and life path. If you're excited about this role but don't tick every box, we'd still love to hear from you.
