Job Description

Objective of the position

The Head, Product Lifecycle Management, Communication and Marketing is responsible for establishing and leading the integrated Product & Service Lifecycle Management and enterprise Communication & Branding function of Ivoclar Vivadent Support & Service Inc. (IVSSI). This role serves as the strategic owner of lifecycle governance, service catalogue management, stakeholder communication, and GBS brand positioning within the Global Business Services organization.

In addition, this role is accountable for designing, formalizing, and scaling Product Lifecycle Management and Communication & Branding as a structured Global Business Services capability, defining its lifecycle framework, service catalogue standards, communication models, governance mechanisms, performance metrics, and overall value proposition to supported business functions.

The objective is to institutionalize a standardized, lifecycle-driven, and value-oriented operating model that ensures all IVSSI services are clearly defined, effectively governed, and consistently communicated across global stakeholders. This role strengthens transparency, drives stakeholder adoption, and positions IVSSI as a trusted, value-creating managed services partner, while enabling scalability, alignment to the overall strategy, and sustained service excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

Service Line Ownership (PLM, Marketing, Branding & Communication)

  • Own and lead the PLM, Marketing, Branding, and Communication Services function within IVSSI
  • Define and continuously enhance the end-to-end service catalogue, including:
  • Service scope and offerings
  • Delivery model (managed services)
  • SLAs, KPIs, and performance standards
  • Drive standardization, scalability, and continuous improvement across all service lines
  • Ensure alignment of services with global business and commercial priorities

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Services

  • Manage IVSSI delivery of PLM support services, including:
  • Product data management and governance
  • Lifecycle documentation and records
  • Product change and update coordination
  • Product launch and discontinuation support
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of product information
  • Enable structured lifecycle processes through GBS-led support and coordination
  • Provide lifecycle visibility through tracking, reporting, and dashboards

Marketing Services (Operations & Execution)

  • Lead IVSSI delivery of marketing operations services, including:
  • Campaign execution support
  • Content and asset management
  • Marketing material production and coordination
  • Digital marketing operations support
  • Ensure marketing activities are delivered in a standardized, scalable, and efficient manner
  • Partner with global marketing teams to align on campaign priorities, timelines, and deliverables

Branding Services (Governance & Consistency)

  • Establish and manage branding governance within IVSSI-supported services
  • Ensure all outputs (marketing materials, communications, product content) adhere to:
  • Ivoclar's brand guidelines
  • Visual identity standards
  • Messaging frameworks
  • Support the development and rollout of branding templates, toolkits, and standards
  • Act as a control point to ensure brand consistency across global and regional outputs

Communication Services (Internal & External)

  • Oversee IVSSI delivery of communication support services, including:
  • Product-related announcements and lifecycle updates
  • Internal communications for global stakeholders
  • External-facing content support (as required)
  • Ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with brand and product strategy
  • Enable structured communication for:
  • Product launches
  • Product updates and enhancements
  • Product discontinuation and transitions

Stakeholder Management (Global Interface)

  • Act as the primary IVSSI interface for PLM, Marketing, Branding, and Communication stakeholders
  • Build strong partnerships with:
  • Product Management / R&D
  • Global and Regional Marketing
  • Commercial teams
  1. Translate business requirements into structured, scalable GBS services
  2. Ensure alignment on expectations, priorities, and service performance

Governance, Performance & Reporting

  • Define and manage SLAs, KPIs, and service performance metrics across all service lines
  • Establish regular service review forums and governance cadence
  • Provide visibility on:
  • Service performance
  • Demand and volumes
  • Risks, issues, and improvements
  • Drive accountability, transparency, and continuous service optimization

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build and lead a multi-skilled team supporting PLM, Marketing, Branding, and Communication services
  • Define roles, skills, and capacity aligned to demand
  • Drive capability development in:
  • PLM tools and processes
  • Marketing operations
  • Brand and communication standards
  • Foster a culture of ownership, quality, and continuous improvement

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability across all service lines
  • Drive automation, standardization, and process optimization initiatives
  • Support IVSSI's transition from hosted to managed services model
  • Contribute to overall GBS maturity and value realization

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10–15+ years of experience in:
  • Global Business Services / Shared Services
  • Marketing operations, branding, or communication services
  • Product lifecycle or product support environments
  • Proven experience managing multi-functional service delivery teams
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Service management frameworks (SLA/KPI-driven)
  • Marketing and communication operations
  • Branding governance and standards
  • Experience in healthcare, dental, or regulated industries is an advantage
