Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical or science field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering, product development, product design, manufacturing, or specification development
- Experience with product development, new product introduction, or product lifecycle management
- 3+ years of experience leading engineering, product development, new product introduction, or cross-functional projects
- Ability to read, interpret, and generate product drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other technical documentation
- Experience with product design, engineering changes, change control, or sustaining engineering
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, assess risks, and develop practical solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, manufacturers, and customers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Nice to Have
- Experience working with medical devices or other regulated products
- Knowledge of medical device regulations, quality management standards, regulatory databases, unique device identification requirements, or similar regulatory and product identification requirements
- Experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or external manufacturing partners
- Experience with enterprise resource planning or product lifecycle management systems
- Experience in product sourcing, supply chain, cost reduction, packaging, labeling, or inventory management
- Familiarity with failure mode and effects analysis, product testing, validation, qualification, or regulatory compliance
Responsibilities
- Lead and support product engineering and new product introduction projects from development through manufacturing
- Manage engineering changes, product specifications, drawings, bills of materials, technical documentation, and design controls
- Work closely with external and contract manufacturers to support product development, manufacturing readiness, technical changes, and supply continuity
- Review product designs and implementation to ensure alignment with specifications, quality requirements, customer requirements, and applicable standards
- Coordinate product testing, validation, qualification, and other technical requirements
- Investigate and resolve product, manufacturing, and supply issues through structured problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Support cost reduction, product improvement, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with sourcing and supply chain activities related to product lifecycle management, inventory transitions, and product launches
- Support packaging, labeling, artwork, and product identification changes when required
- Prepare technical reports, analyses, project documentation, and business recommendations to support product and manufacturing decisions
- Monitor project timelines, risks, deliverables, and performance metrics to support successful product launches and ongoing product performance
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and achieve project and business objectives
