The Product Development Specialist is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end product development process, from formulation and testing to production and market launch. This role works closely with internal teams and suppliers to manage timelines, ensure product quality and compliance, and develop competitive, market-ready products that meet customer and business objectives.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate product development, from conceptualization, finalization of formula and release to production.
- Manages day-to-day progress of product.
- Provide marketing information as to the strengths of the products, why we like to launch the product, what makes it unique and all other attributes of the product selected.
- Prepare product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
- Manage projects based on product briefs and development requests
- Keep time schedule for submissions to suppliers, formula evaluation, pilot schedule, stability, safety testing, etc.
- Communicate to managing partner any issue related to project feasibility
- Meet and correspond with suppliers
- Perform routine analytical and physical quality tests
- Ensure that customers expectations are met/exceeded
- Promote and demonstrates behavior consistent with the company's core values and policies
- Perform any other duties or tasks that may be required by the company
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of experience in formulation
- Able to make competitive market analysis between the product he/she is suggesting to launch compared to key competitors products.
- Ability to formulate, create/develop or replicate new products to be introduced to the market
- Knowledge of rules and regulations by FDA for formulation
- Willing to be assigned in BGC, Taguig
