Reporting to: Senior Product Development Manager
The Product Development Manager leads the product development process for the assigned category, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products, drive excellence, and ensure exceptional user experiences.
Other requirements include the following:
- Effectively manages individuals/teams to optimize their productivity and engagement which includes work planning, performance management, development and coaching, and team culture management.
- Manages product development projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence, while monitoring and analyzing performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and inform future product development plans
- Collaborates closely with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and facilitate successful product launches, ensuring customer satisfaction, market success, and adherence of products to quality standards.
- Manages relationships with external vendors, partners, and stakeholders within the assigned category, enabling effective collaboration and long-term partnerships.
To succeed and grow in this role, you will be required to meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or a related field.
- At least six years of experience as a product development manager or in a similar role, with a successful track record of delivering innovative and high-quality products.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-centric mindset.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align product development efforts with overall business goals and market trends.
- Passion for innovation, user experience, and delivering market-leading products.
- Keen awareness of market trends and competitive landscape
- Negotiation skills - pricing
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications; Sheets - data analysis and reporting
