Role Overview
As Product Development Coordinator, you'll help launch and manage a portfolio of product innovation initiatives — from early concept through to market launch — on behalf of a major consumer goods client. Working alongside more senior project leads, you'll help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, keep teams aligned to shared goals, and flag and resolve issues early so projects stay on track without sacrificing quality.
You should be comfortable bringing together cross-functional, international teams, ideally with some background in the consumer goods space or an adjacent industry.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate product and packaging innovation projects end-to-end — concept development, feasibility checks, R&D handoffs, business case write-ups, and approvals.
- Support senior project leads with the day-to-day running of active initiatives.
- Keep cross-functional partners aligned on scope, timelines, and objectives.
- Run project status meetings and make sure decisions and updates reach every stakeholder.
- Track progress against deliverables and milestones, keeping project trackers and tools current and flagging deviations from plan.
- Check project documentation and supporting materials for accuracy and completeness.
- Help manage review cycles and consolidate feedback to reduce rework and keep projects moving.
- Prepare and maintain meeting notes, presentations, and other project communications.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in project management or coordination, ideally in a consumer goods or FMCG setting.
- Exposure to product/packaging innovation or new product development processes.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comfort with project management tools such as Asana, Trello, Monday.com, or Jira.
- Mandarin language proficiency (spoken and written) is required for this role.
Soft Skills
- Self-motivated, with genuine enthusiasm for working with both local and global stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to coordinate and support multiple stakeholders at once.
- Culturally aware and comfortable working across international teams.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Focused and resilient under pressure, with a track record of delivering in demanding environments.
