What You'll Do
The Product Development Associate will drive the end-to-end development of our private label brand, bean. He/she will bridge the gap between market research, sourcing, commercial viability, and operational execution, ensuring our products meet strict safety standards while delivering value to the customers.
Key Responsibility Areas
Market Research & Commercial Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive competitor research to identify market gaps, pricing strategies, and product specifications.
- Analyze project feasibility through cost analysis (COGS, margins) and present data-backed recommendations for new product launches or iterations.
Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Identify, vet, and onboard reliable suppliers based on quality standards, price, and MOQ.
- Manage day-to-day vendor relationships, including RFQs, negotiations, and aligning production timelines.
- Coordinate supplier-side resolution for customer complaints by requiring Root Cause Analysis and negotiating compensation to ensure continuous product improvement.
Product Development & Quality Assurance
- Lead consumer product testing (qualitative and quantitative) by managing end to end process from sample distribution and interview and survey design to data
- collection and results analysis.
- Collaborate with design team to ensure product packaging follows regulatory requirements and brand-aligned
- Oversee virtual QCs and third-party testing to guarantee uncompromising safety for our baby and parenting products.
Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
- Partner with regulatory consultants to ensure all products secure and maintain up-to-date safety certifications and legal approvals.
Operations & Go-To-Market
- Manage Purchase Order (PO) creation and coordinate closely with Logistics for smooth freight, import, and delivery tracking.
- Develop accurate Product Information Sheets detailing specs and safety warnings to ensure compelling, compliant listings go live on time.
- Serve as the PIC for consumer feedback, translating post-launch inquiries into actionable product improvements and building comprehensive FAQs for the Customer Service team.
What We're Looking For
- College graduate preferably with a degree in Business administration, marketing, supply chain management or industrial engineering.
- With 1-2 years experience in product development or purchasing particularly in supplier sourcing and coordination and/or overall project management.
- Critical thinker, fast learner and collaborative with a data-driven approach.
- Able to handle pressure and fast-paced environment
- Good communication and relationship-building skills
- Google Workspace Experience (Spreadsheets and Presentation )
