As the Site Lead, Product and Development – Networking Segment, you will lead and develop Molex Philippines R&D organization, ensuring alignment with the global Networking Segment strategy while driving innovation, operational excellence, and a high-performance, principle-based culture. You will serve as the key connection between global leadership and local execution, enabling the successful development and delivery of new products, technologies, and business initiatives.
This position is based in our Mabalacat City, Philippines manufacturing facility and reports directly to the Director of Program Management.
Our Team
You will lead a diverse and highly capable R&D organization consisting of Product Management, Project Management, Product Engineering, and Global Manufacturing Solutions professionals, with approximately 6–7 direct reports and 30 indirect reports. You will also partner closely with the local Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) team and collaborate extensively with global stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
As the senior R&D leader for the site, you will be responsible for developing future leaders, fostering collaboration across functions, and strengthening a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation.
What You Will Do
• Define, communicate, and execute the site's R&D strategy in alignment with the global Networking Segment roadmap.
• Serve as the key link between global leadership and local execution, ensuring strategic priorities are clearly understood and successfully delivered.
• Build, coach, and develop a high-performing R&D organization while strengthening the pipeline of future leaders.
• Foster a culture of self-actualization, accountability, continuous learning, and Principle-Based Management (PBM).
• Ensure compliance with Molex Product Development Process (PDP) and relevant quality and operational standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project outcomes, innovation, quality, and operational performance.
• Own site-level metrics related to delivery, quality, cost, and innovation.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across Product Management, Project Management, Product Engineering, AQP, and Manufacturing teams.
• Act as the primary escalation point for local R&D challenges and ensure timely resolution of technical and organizational issues.
• Represent the site in R&D-related activities and communicate site priorities, opportunities, and achievements to global leadership.
• Proactively identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
• 10+ years of experience in R&D leadership, product development, engineering leadership, or business leadership roles.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing technical and cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence.
• Willingness to travel internationally (less than 10%).
What Will Put You Ahead
• Experience leading R&D organizations within the automotive, connectivity, networking, cable, interconnect, or related technology industries.
• MBA or master's degree in a technical or business-related discipline.
• Experience with automotive wire harness, high-speed data cable, connectivity solutions, or component development.
• Knowledge of cable assembly and component manufacturing processes.
• Three or more years of experience leading managers or R&D leaders.
• Advanced expertise in risk management, structured problem-solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working within global, matrixed organizations and collaborating across multiple regions.
