In This Job You Will

The trainer's primary responsibility is to create training agenda and plans, and conduct client or internal trainings based on the results of a Training Needs Analysis (TNA). As a member of a client implementation project, the trainer also delivers support to the project team by providing functional assistance and status updates as necessary. The trainer must understand their client's business requirements and be able to translate these requirements into system configuration. To successfully deliver training, the trainer is required to comprehensively learn and understand Navitaire's products and keep up to date on new software releases.

The trainer is expected to work closely with members of the Training, Product, Delivery and Support teams across the various Navitaire offices.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Learn, understand and stay current on product functionality
  • Assess and document training needs of the customer
  • Design, create and maintain training modules to be used in customer and internal trainings
  • Conduct customer and internal training
  • Support client implementation projects by testing client accounts, creating how-to documentation to help clients, fielding functional questions, and providing status updates to the Delivery Project Manager
  • Establish a dynamic training environment to accommodate different nationalities, personalities, and needs of each customer
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

About The Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree or above preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of learning and development processes, approach and principles.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience: Professional classroom instruction and presentation skills. OR Reservations products or related through development, testing or support.
  • Strong working knowledge on ADDIE
  • Knowledge of travel industry groups, practices and/or standards: IATA, ATA, ATPCo, OTA. Knowledge of airline and/or travel industry business processes is a plus
  • Tools: powerpoint, canva, LMS familiarity
  • Experience working directly with customers and conducting virtual trainings.
  • Strong communication skills. Strong command of the English language; ability to speak and write other languages an advantage
  • Strong presentation, organization, training and decision making skills. Strong prioritization skills, can communicate will all levels of the organization, strong client facing skills, can handle multiple urgencies.
  • Ability to work 1:1 with customers on-site and off-site.
  • Proven ability to document and solve problems and issues effectively.
  • Proven discipline to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible work schedule including occasional weekends and holidays; willingness to travel. Flexibility and adaptability to support other time zones is a must.
  • Amenable to work in a hybrid work setup up (2-3 days a week onsite). Location: BGC
