Job description:

The Procurement Supervisor for Food & Beverage (F&B) is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the procurement of food, beverages, and related supplies to support the business's operational needs. This role involves maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring high-quality products, negotiating favorable terms, and managing inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations. The Procurement Supervisor also ensures compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies while leading a team to achieve procurement goals efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with food and beverage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Product Quality Control:Ensure all sourced products meet food safety, quality, and company standards. Regularly review and assess suppliers to maintain consistency.
  • Inventory and Demand Planning:Work closely with operations and kitchen teams to accurately forecast demand and manage inventory levels, reducing waste and ensuring timely product availability.
  • Cost Management:Implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality; monitor market trends to optimize purchasing strategies and achieve cost efficiency.
  • Policy and Compliance:Ensure all procurement activities comply with food safety regulations, quality assurance standards, and company policies.
  • Team Leadership:Supervise and develop a team of purchasing staff, providing guidance and training to enhance performance.
  • Sourcing and Market Analysis:Conduct regular market analysis to source new products and suppliers that align with company goals.
  • Reporting and Documentation:Prepare reports on procurement metrics, expenditures, and cost savings; maintain accurate records of all transactions and contracts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or any related course.
  • In-depth knowledge in preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access).
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
