The Procurement Strategic Sourcing Associate reports to the Head of Procurement and Vendor Management and will be an important member of the Procurement and Vendor Management team. As a procurement buyer, the person is responsible for supporting Procurement strategic sourcing managers find opportunities for cost savings and introducing effective spend management, executing sourcing strategy, facilitating tenders and competitive bid exercises, negotiating with vendors, and purchasing materials or goods, equipment, and services that support projects from multiple spend categories or commodities, primarily technology and construction. The person will also assist in other ancillary spend categories or commodities as needed, such as in marketing and outsourcing. The role ensures cost efficiency, timely and satisfactory delivery of orders, effective procure to pay controls and oversight over vendors and stakeholders, and over-all adequate compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
Support Sourcing Managers in managing the end to end procurement cycle for IT, Construction and other assigned categories, including aligning with business unit requesters prior to sourcing (budget and purchase forecast), sourcing, vendor evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract execution
Procure IT hardware, software, licenses, cloud services and related support
Source construction materials, subcontractor services, equipment rentals, and facilities-related items
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers/vendors, ensuring quality and reliability
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Real Estate/Facilities/Security, PMO) to understand requirements and align purchases with project timelines and objectives
Lead the canvassing/RFx (request for proposal/quotation/solution/auction), tenders or competitive bidding activities, including analysis of received proposals/quotation/solution etc from vendors, performing negotiations and other due diligence and coming up with Recommendation of Award (ROA) for approval prior to award and contract execution
Ensure compliance with company procurement/sourcing policies and standards, legal requirements, and other relevant regulations
Review and process purchase requests prepare and issue approved Purchase Order (PO)
Reviewing of payment request to suppliers/vendors
Preparation of reports regarding procurement activities
Maintain accurate and updated procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier records/databases.
Preparation of accrual reports
Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular or periodic reviews to ensure contract adherence
Identify cost saving opportunities, capture and report actual savings obtained and contribute to procurement goals and strategies
Support budget planning and cost control/management for assigned spend categories
KPIs:
Cost reduction and cost avoidance savings
Spend Under Management by Procurement (e.g. achieved through spend covered by Procurement negotiated contract versus total addressable spend)
Speed and Quality of Purchase Request to Purchase Order processing
PO Compliance
Sourcing pipeline
Accrual accuracy
Monthly/Quarterly/ Semi-annual/ Annual business reviews with key suppliers
