Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Procurement - Sr. Buyer. The Buyer will be responsible in the procurement of indirect materials such as spare parts, supplies, and services for all URC sites through sourcing, negotiating, purchase order processing, and coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure the timely availability of required materials and cost efficiency while adhering to company policies and quality standards. The role is responsible for identifying short- and long-term strategies in improving the procure to pay cycle that will deliver value creation, risk mitigation, process compliance and efficiency.
What are the Job Responsibilities:
Procurement of indirect materials to support business requirements:
- Review of Spend Data to identify opportunities and risks
- Develop and implement identified procurement strategies
- Contract Management and PO Management
- Capex PO execution monitoring and issue resolution
- Negotiation and savings generation through volume consolidation, process efficiency, etc.
Continuous Improvement and Digital Initiatives Implementation
- Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement initiatives in the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process to enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience.
- Lead the adoption and optimization of procurement technologies and systems, including SAP, to streamline workflows and improve procurement visibility.
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders such as Manufacturing, Logistics and Quality assurance in developing strategies to support business objectives
- Ensure compliance to procurement policies, standards and regulatory requirements
- Performance management and reporting by monitoring and improving P2P process efficiency, cycle times, and compliance metrics.
What are the Qualifications
- Minimum 5-8 years of procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, food manufacturing, or shared services environment.
- At least 3 years of experience managing indirect procurement categories, including spare parts, maintenance supplies, CAPEX, professional services, and facilities-related purchases.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, contract management, and spend analysis.
- Proven track record of achieving procurement savings and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and multiple manufacturing sites.
- Experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process management and procurement governance.
